These Brasstown homeowners called us and were very enthusiastic about solar. However, their home was in a beautifully wooded spot, which is great for shade but not always easy for solar. We couldn’t find one great spot for a larger array, so we came up with a combo solution: build two smaller arrays in the two sunny spots available. One is a raised, pole-mount system that doubles as shade and rain protection at the entrance to their garden shed. The other is a low-to-the-ground, sleek rack-mounted array next to the driveway. Because there are two arrays, there are two inverters for the system, mounted side-by-side next to the dual electric meters.
